  • Where else can you go to find community, acceptance, fun, different points of view and a wide range of backgrounds and faiths or who are just questioning? For those people who say they aren't "religious" but are good people who care about their communities and the greater world, this is the place for you.

  • Atkinson has proved to be a very fulfilling spiritual home for me in the fourteen years I’ve been a member. Following the Unitarian Universalist principles, it affords a place of worship not bound by creeds or dogma while supporting concerns of ethics, nature, human consciousness, and mutual respect to continually make this a supportive and healthy worship community.

On a personal level I’ve been very impressed by the genuine caring and engagement of the members and friends who attend. I especially appreciate how welcoming the congregation is as it invites anyone who brings a positive and caring perspective to our mutual and individual spiritual practices. While the casual observer may be intrigued by the diversity of spiritual stories that are present here, Atkinson is not a place for complacency for those who wish to be active! I’ve found my own theology challenged and strengthened here. By being able to serve among this religious community, I’ve found that I’ve grown and can better appreciate my self, my neighbors, and the world. By simply following my initial curiosity, Atkinson has allowed me to experience a more invigorating spiritual path than I’ve ever known elsewhere. It truly is a spiritual home that has the power to transform and save lives!

  • I've been coming to Atkinson Memorial Church for about 9 years now. I don't consider myself religious or spiritual, but my wife and I joined for the community and so our kids could get proper values reinforced from someone other than Mom and Dad. Since joining, we've truly found a community we love. We've gotten to know many adults, seniors, and kids through helping as ushers, the Mens group and teaching religious education. I love it that our kids have friends at church and I enjoy seeing my friends each Sunday.

  • We moved here almost 6 yrs ago and didn't know anyone. I joined Atkinson to get to know my neighbors and have found a family and community that is a positive influence on almost everything I do. I have found wonderful friends in a supportive atmosphere, an accepting community that will always be a part of my life.

  • Wonderful church. Very welcoming and inclusive. The kids programs are great and they have many activities for adults as well. Highly recommended!
